The PG9936 is a standard wireless smoke and heat detector with a 135-degree heat limit. This model also features a built-in sounder in the event that the siren cannot be heard. Both the smoke and heat must be active at all times.

The DSC PG9936 is a wireless PowerG smoke and heat detector that can be used with the DSC PowerSeries NEO systems as well as the Qolsys IQ Panel 4Â systems.Â
The PG9936 works on the 915 MHz frequency, can be mounted on a wall or ceiling, and comes with the hardware to do so. Just like every PowerG device; the PG9936 features multi-channel frequency hopping to help prevent frequency blocking and interference. It also uses 128-bit AES encryption to provide protection against analysis tools and digital attacks. Another preventive measure this contains is a back tamper in case someone tries to remove it from its mounting position. The PG9936 uses 3 AAA batteries for power which will last an average of 3 years and measures in at 5 x 2.5 in.Â
This smoke/heat detector makes installation easier because of the built-in link quality indicator located on the device itself. To help ensure everyone in the area is notified of a fire; the PG9936 features an onboard sounder and a visual indicator. The unit will also send device tampered and low battery conditions to the main alarm. Because of the technology behind the PG9936; this will provide reliable monitoring and early detection of fire conditions.Â
