Uplink 5530M Universal Dual Sim Alarm Communicator With Dial Capture – Verizon – AT&T LTE – 5G Ready
Uplink 5530M Universal Dual Sim Alarm Communicator With Dial Capture – Verizon – AT&T LTE – 5G Ready
Use of this module requires the Uplink Communicator Cellular Service.
The 5530M is a very innovative Universal Communicator designed by Uplink. the 5530M is designed to be powered by your alarm system and read alarm signals using dial capture from the phone line outputs. This design allows the Uplink 5530M to be used with almost any alarm system out there. The 5530M also has 2 additional digital inputs capable of being triggered by the bell circuit of the alarm system, or a programmed output on the panel. In addition to the dial capture and input methods, the Uplink 5530M can connect to the keybus of certain alarm systems, giving the communicator a much more integrated experience when used with the Uplink phone app. Systems like the DSC Power Series, Honeywell Vista, Napco, and Interlogix NX series can be used in this fashion, allowing the 5530M to talk directly to the “brain” of the system. When using the Uplink app, this will give you much more control over the system rather than having to use keyswitch arming and disarming.Â
Installing the 5530M is a cinch with the simple instructions and very few required wire connections to the communicator. Check the installation manual for detailed instructions, but at its base, the unit only needs a connection to your system power and the phone line terminal connections to function. Additional wiring can be used to connect the 5530M to the keybus of the alarm system, and/or other triggers such as the bell circuit on the alarm. Once connected and activated, the Uplink 5530M will communicate with you via the Uplink phone app, as well as a Central Station if desired. Â
Included in the Uplink 5530M is a dual-SIM setup with both Verizon and AT&T so that no matter where your system is located if you can get a cellular signal, the unit will work. This makes activation much quicker so that once the 5530M is in place on your alarm system, all we need to do is connect the device to your Uplink Service account. The 5530M will have a Serial Number you provide to us, and we will handle the rest. If you are planning on using the 5530M with another provider you will need to get with them on their operating procedure.
